The Lake Terrace Convention Center opened its doors in July of 1998, growing the Pine Belt economy and invigorating its residents. Since the first day of the center's existence, 1.5 million people from around the state and country have walked through the doors and lived the Lake Terrace experience. Their patronage to the center has generated more than 145 million dollars into our local economy, creating a positive ripple effect of nearly 200 million dollars.
Lake Terrace has proven itself not only in the Hattiesburg community, but also throughout the southeastern United States. Convention South Magazine has named Lake Terrace Convention Center the Best of the Best on five different occasions.
Lake Terrace began as a dream shared by a few Pine Belt community leaders. Their vision was of a place that could handle the largest and most sophisticated of events, while showcasing Hattiesburg's hospitality and quality of life. They saw not only a building- but also a catalyst for economic and cultural growth. Indeed, with each passing day and successful event, they are continually proven right.
